Environmental Site Assessment & Remediation Services

Evaluating and Mitigating Environmental Risks

We provide environmental site assessment services across Canada and abroad for a diverse range of industrial, commercial, residential, office and other properties.   We have our own internal standards, beyond regulatory requirements, to ensure a thorough assessment to identify known and potential risks.

The scope of these assessments are routinely co-created with our clients, and may include Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Indoor Air Quality Testing, Soil & Groundwater Sampling, Remediation, and/or Risk Management, as required, to meet the specific needs of the project.

  • When contamination is present at a property above regulatory standards, remediation may be necessary to remove the contaminants to acceptable levels. Watters Environmental are experts at developing strategies and technical approaches that allow cost effective, technically sound remediation.

Depending on the specific requirements of the remediation, remedial approaches may include excavation or implementation of one of several in-situ treatment technologies.

  • Indoor Air Quality is an important factor in maintaining a safe work environment. Poor indoor air quality can affect the health of building occupants. Watters Environmental conducts indoor air quality studies as appropriate to address the specific concerns of building occupants. In some cases, this may mean a general air quality assessment, while in other cases it may mean a specific investigation for a particular contaminant or to address issues such as mould.

  • When contamination is suspected at a property, sampling must be completed to confirm the presence and extent of such contamination. Watters Environmental designs and implements sampling strategies to meet the needs of the specific concern. In some cases, this may involve soil or groundwater sampling, while in other cases it may involve sampling of sediments, sludge, or other media.

Watters Environmental employs sampling procedures that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and/or best practices for the industry.
