Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

We conduct a very large number of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) each year, across a wide geographic range, and for a diversity of asset types. These Phase I ESAs involve historical reviews, site visits, interviews, regulatory reviews and reporting, and they are completed by experienced, highly-trained personnel. We have an uncompromised focus on quality control, and we use our own checklists and quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure a consistently high quality product.

Multi-site (portfolio) assignments across a large geographic scale are completed in several ways. Most typically, clients prefer that we operate as a “SWAT team”, requiring that Watters Environmental Group personnel visit each of the asset locations. In other cases, we coordinate the multi-site assignments and utilize experts from the large number of environmental firms with which we have working relationships with across North America and abroad. Either way, we provide a “one-stop shopping” approach for our clients. We coordinate all assignments and assume responsibility for the quality, consistency and responsiveness of the work.

Depending on the specific circumstances and client needs, our Phase I ESAs are completed to Canadian Standards Association (CSA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) or client-specific guidelines or standards. We will define the scope and standard of our Phase I ESAs before we commence the work.
